Weather: Sunny
Max Speed: av spd 12.
Distance Covered: 35.19 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Nice midday ride, hot sun and little wind but lots of cars. Same run Ipswich to Trimley but misplaced my pace guide for the 40 miles loop so had to guess pace due to poor bike computer.
My fitness ride is all about fitness and so I need to buy a decent bike comp. Still can’t find a comfortable saddle for long rides, despite measuring perennial bones size, so using a cover which is the best comfort so far.
10 mile marker came up on the phone just off PB which was encouraging after getting up my worst hill / slope without losing too much energy. Clipless definitely help when out of saddle for comfort and have not had knee pain since using them.
HR watch band broke so was seeing false readings now, another pain as 100-130 HR is my training zones when doing the interval sprint / out of saddle work. 30 min sprint sessh went well so at the 20 mile mark at the Trimley turn was just under PB (1hr 28mins) at 1hr 37mins. Prob is my mate just clocked 1hr 20 from 1hr 50 + when he first started windsurf lockdown, so his improvement is massive! To make matters worse he is using clogs on his MTB!
Think I will stick to Shimano clipless. Although I upped the pace hoping to pull back some time, after 25 miles my anus was killing me!
Had plenty of legs, strength and energy but my bum was raw with pain yet again, so cruise the last 10 miles and dropped time.
So fitness good but have to find a comfy saddle and a decent bike comp. Used up all my water and one energy bar so felt fresh after ride.
Stats 35.19 miles 2hrs 54 mins average spd 12.12 mph and burnt 3295 calories. So with no chance of a takeaway curry, should drop some weight!
